Aveline And Conner Get To Play Together In ACIII: Liberation

We all know Assassin's Creed III is set for October 30.

But it's counterpart, Assassin's Creed III: Liberation, also launches that day for the PlayStation Vita. It's an entirely separate campaign and story, and it even features an all-new protagonist, the highly skilled female assassin Aveline.

Thanks to the glory of cross-game goodness, Aveline and Connor (protagonist in AACIII) will actually meet in Liberation, and it seems they'll even work together for a bit. It has often been said by Ubisoft that if you want the full ACIII experience, you're going to need both a PS3 and Vita so you can play both games. Typically, one would scoff at the idea given that such a huge, detailed world would have to be toned down significantly on a handheld device. But the Vita can do some pretty amazing things and we're expecting nothing less than greatness from Liberation.

Just out of curiosity I wonder if Aveline's game will have any connection at all to the animus and the future.

I don't think any of the accompaniment games (Altair's Chronicles, Bloodlines, Discovery) have to date, so I wouldn't expect it here.

I am so excited for this release. I broke down today and bought the ACIII+Season Pass+ACIII Liberation bundle for $119.99 on the PSN! Received my $50 PSN card and 1 yr PS+ from that Playstation card promotion today. Threw it at this bundle because I am really interested in he Tyranny of King Washington DLC. I am ready, not sure which I will play first but it's going to be a fun decision to make! Dishonored tomorrow as well, what a month!

That DLC even I'm gonna buy (very seldom do I ever buy DLC). I'm more excited for the King Washington storyline than the full console game.

As for Liberation...

*drools*

I'm not sure how Rihanna can be an inspiration for the character of Aveline. I saw her on Battleship and her "performance" there will not even motivate me one bit to write a story about her character. LOL She's better off sticking to singing even if I'm not a fan of her stuff.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. It's frustrating to see these games goto hand helds. Great for the handheld crowd. Terrible for me! Yea I'm in a selfish mood! ;)

To be fair this put me in that mood! Anyways the game looks great, just wish I could play it on my PS3!

If there wasn't a Vita on the gaming scene, we may not have gotten Liberation at all. The Vita needs some games and that could've been the motivating factor for them to create Liberation in the first place. I'm not saying I'm right, just looking at it from another angle. Thumbs up for wanting to play it.

Just wait for a few years and BOOM! "ASSASSIN`S CREED III: COLLECTIONS includes ALL DLCs and ASSASSIN`S CREED III: LIBERATION HD"

Then again...It might just be ASSASSIN`S CREED COLLECTIONS.

I was wondering what Aveline's ethnic background was and it appears she's Creole.

Both games are looking awesome to me and are high on my priority list, but I want to play Liberation a little more because of its Louisiana setting.
