US Is Vita's Best Region, Hasn't Really Exploded In Europe
The PlayStation Vita hasn't sold terribly; it just hasn't become the hottest item in the video game world.
And when asked about the sales, Sony would usually say that the portable is tracking "close to internal expectations," although they have admitted that the Vita isn't doing too well in certain regions. So what are those regions?
According to the UK's gamesTM publication, we've got a pretty clear answer. As noted by The Silent Chief, a one-page feature entitled "2012 In Numbers" shows that the Vita's biggest market is definitely the US. It has crossed 900,000 sold in this country, while Japan is only just past the half-million mark (536,846). But perhaps most importantly, it just isn't performing up to snuff in Europe. It has only sold 238,429 in the UK, 218,787 in France, and 143,995 in Germany.
Maybe that isn't too surprising, but it's interesting to see the differences. If the Vita is closing in on a million in the US, that's not too bad. But Europeans aren't totally on board, it seems, and I had expected more of a response in Japan, too.

and thats pretty much all the vita has recieved, there not going to enjoy ACL, CODD, uncharted, ect, ect.
only game that would be popular there would be gravity rush, not really enough to sell the system.
once soul sacrifice and hopefully a monster hunter, or FF, or KH release than it will fly off the shelves!
who knows, MGS ground zeroes might get some sort of vita support especially now that konamis so big on that transfaring system they have.
EUs quite the opposite though, i was expecting it to do the best there simply because 1 playstations always been biggest there, and 2 the games that are released are the games they would like.
allot of people are holding back because of the features, or should i say lack of them.
hell i was at my cuzs place yesterday for boxing day and was playing ACL.
everyone was saying why did he buy the vita its such a waste of money you cant even connect it to the TV!
screw the games, if $ony brought back all the features the GO had the vita would be doing a hell of allot better than what it is!

Where I live, in northern Europe, the Vita really seriously is nowhere to be found. There's no talk about it, no focus in any shops, I've never seen anyone use it, it really in all practical terms are not only dead; it was never alive.
I've seen *one* Vita in my life, some months ago, on display at a vendor. It was broken, stewed away in a corner on an unlit display, like an unintended illustration on how the Vita is doing.
That's what has left me with the conclusion that the only thing left discussing is *why*, not *if*.
