Convince Someone To Buy The Vita, Grab Some Sony Bonuses
So you love your PlayStation Vita. And it bugs you that not enough people are enjoying Sony's fine product.
Okay, so do something about it. By convincing someone (perhaps a friend or relative) that they should pick up the slick new portable, you can earn yourself a couple cool bonuses!
Sony has announced an incentive program that spans the month of February: If you can get someone to purchase a Vita during that span of time, and they cite you as their referral source, you will receive a $20 PSN credit and 1,000 Sony Rewards points. But wait, it's not just for you; the happy new Vita owner benefits as well. That's because they also receive a $20 PSN credit, which they can use to grab a game for their new handheld, right? Oh, don't think of this as a bribe; companies do this kind of thing all the time and usually, it's pretty darn effective.
I still think it'd be a whole lot more effective if we'd see a few more games for the Vita but let's just assume those are coming.

and to make that problem worse, the best games are either ports of ps3 games ie mortal kombat, rayman, or new versions of ps3 famous titles such as motorstorm, mod nation racers, uncharted, ect, ect.
only title that really makes you sit back and say wow i need to try that is gravity rush, and thats one of THE most repetitive games out there!

I think a $50 price cut and cheaper memory sticks would be a better incentive though. It's been almost a year now, Vita needs to cross that $200 threshold. But more importantly, those memory sticks need to come down in price. They're way too expensive.

But regarding the Vita, I had still yet to see a title which in which I feel forced to buy it. The Uncharted and Gravity Rush games would be games I'd try if I had one also the up coming Tareaway. But beyond that I still see no reason to pick up a Vita - Persona 4 Gold maybe... but I have a PS2...

If you're responsible with credit cards, this is a great rewards system for Sony freaks.

Oh well. We have a saying for that here in Norway: "Hovmod står for fall!".
In regards to the lack of games the coming months: It's pretty obvious they've been expecting 3rd party support by now, and were unprepared for this.
But I'm beginning to wonder if not Sony might be working on a relaunch for the Vita. So instead of spreading the efforts thin they've retracted for the time being to gather strength for this relaunch.
It's either that, or... Well... You do the math.

It was all so easy, so easy back then. People were dying to get it, they just needed that last little incentive!
Or so it was said. Anything else was... Unthinkable. Unspeakable. And Lord have mercy on the soul who dared suggest that Sonys challenge were more complex than that.

#1 Optimist
This is a great marketing strategy and could move some Vitas.
#2 Vita Haters, Non-Owners and People Who Have Sold Their Vitas
This is a desperate move, DOOM, GLOOM, DOOM, GLOOMDOOMGLOOM, DOOM and GLOOM!!! Sony needs to lower the price to $99 with a free game and 32GB MC. There aren't any good games on the Vita except the ULTRA REPETITIVE BORING game Gravity Rush. I will not Eat Crow when I am proven wrong and you can't make me Hmmph!!!
Well, it goes something like that.
Price cannot be brought up anymore as there is always some deal going on some where that offers a Vita, 4-8 MC and game at a discount. Soul Sacrifice, Tearaway and Killzone Mercenary should move some Vitas as well. No one knows what the future holds for this handheld. However, I choose to be in the #1 group due to the fact I see the potential and I believe in Sony. Also, I have first hand experience with the Vita. I have spent a ton of time on my Vita and love many, many of the games. E3 should hold many pleasant surprises as well. I wouldn't be surprised if this was one last marketing stunt by Sony before they drop the price.

I feel jealous of the lucky people who can take advantage of this. This will definitely help the vita though. It isn't doing good right now. Hopefully sony does this more often.
