Assassin's Creed: Rising Phoenix Is A New Entry For The Vita?
When we heard about the mysterious "Assassin's Creed: Rising Phoenix," we said we hoped it'd be a Vita game.
And now as it turns out, the unannounced new AC title might indeed be designed for Sony's new portable. Spanish retailer XtraLife had the game listed as a spin-off for the Vita; it was spotted by All Games Beta, although the listing has since been removed. The new game apparently held a release date of October 10.
If a new Assassin's Creed for the Vita does hit on the 10th, that's three weeks before Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is scheduled to launch. This isn't exactly unheard-of, as last year, Ubisoft released Assassin's Creed III: Liberation on the same day as ACIII for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Liberation was a good game; the developers just didn't do quite enough with the idea, so here's hoping Rising Phoenix is another step in the right direction.
There's no doubt that Vita owners could use some potential AAA software to get excited about. They deserve it.
