Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault Hits Vita Next Week

The Vita version was supposed to launch alongside the PlayStation 3 version last year, but that didn't happen.

Now, after multiple frustrating delays, Sony has finally confirmed that Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will hit the new portable on May 21 via the PlayStation Network.

Sony is aware that fans have waited a while, so they're going to give away free copies of Ratchet & Clank: Deadlocked on the PS3 for anyone who purchased the console version of Full Frontal Assault. That giveaway will go into effect when the Vita iteration drops next week. Plus, as the game utilizes Sony's great Cross Buy promotion, those who bought FFA on the PS3 will also get the Vita installment for free.

Furthermore, the PS3 version gets a new competitive multiplayer map set in Molonoth Fields from A Crack in Time, along with a new 2v2 game mode. We really found Full Frontal Assault to be disappointing, but it might work out better on Vita. One can hope.

I know my room mate and his buddy are really looking forward to this. Personally, I'm over these "fake" R&C games. Sure they're fun for an hour or so, but they just leave me wanting a full blown new Ratchet and Clank adventure! Now that FUSE is pretty much ready to come out, the Insomniac team can re-focus on what they do best!

eh.
after dragging the franchise through the mud and defiling it with all 4 one, than turning to fans and saying oh ok were sorry we promise FFA will be a return to the old, insomniac has destroyed every ounce of love ive ever had for them, and the franchise!
so in short i really could not care less!
at least i have the HD remake of gladiator to look too.......
pretty sad when the biggest excitement and anticipation for a franchise is a HD remake, especially when said franchise is as big and iconic as R&C will be!
always said insomniac going MP would be the death of them, though never did i think THIS drastically!!!!!!!!!!

as much as im hating the direction of ratchet and insomniac themselves i may well need to buy this because my mate was seriously calling for funny local multiplayer games we can have on game nights (and she specifically wanted ratchet or spyro haha).

i assume ratchet/insomniac always produces good results in this department although your preview pointed out only the one multiplayer mode option being disappointing. what are you thoughts ben?

Woot! Finally! I can't wait to play it on the go (makes more sense for this game) and I'm really happy about Deadlocked, its been missing from my HD collection
