Velocity Ultra Streaks Onto PlayStation Vita Next Week
There was a time when side-scrolling sci-fi shooters were all the rage. In fact, they were a major staple of the industry.
They came in both vertical and horizontal formats and they required fast reflexes and consistently rapt attention. ...they gave me a headache, in truth. But if you've always been a big fan of such games, you gotta check out the new throwback from FuturLab.
As revealed over at the PlayStation Blog, Velocity Ultra for the PlayStation Vita will be ready to go next week; July 2, to be exact. After a brief delay, the game will emerge "bug-free and with a high-res coat of paint." It has already earned plenty of praise from critics, and it features PSN leaderboards, Trophies (including a Platinum), native artowrk, and "flawless 60FPS action." Lastly, it boats the same bad-ass soundtrack by Joris de Man and James Marsden.
This looks like the perfect game to take on the go. So much fun!
