Warrior's Lair, Previously Called Ruin, Canceled For Vita
One of the very first confirmed titles for the PlayStation Vita has officially been canceled.
A Sony representative told IGN that Warrior's Lair, which was originally announced as Ruin, is no longer in development.
It was supposed to be an action/RPG that would support the attractive cross-play feature. Unfortunately, we soon heard rumors of layoffs at co-developer Idol Minds, which was followed by the news that Sony had transferred development to Sony San Diego. That didn't pan out, though, and now the game is no more. We liked the idea of a cool dungeon-crawler coming to the Vita but these days, cross-play isn't anything new. We've seen it before, so maybe the game just wasn't good enough on its own.
And that's too bad because the Vita could really use every ounce of help it can get right now.
