Dragon's Dogma Quest Launches For Vita On December 19

If you enjoyed the original game on consoles, you should definitely try the intriguing portable iteration.

As reported by Siliconera, Dragon's Dogma Quest will release on December 19 for the PlayStation Vita (we're assuming that's the Japanese date). Capcom released the iOS version first, so check out reviews of that if you want a better idea of what to expect.

As was the case in Dragon's Dogma, you will have control over an adventuring party with up to eight fighters. Each "pawn" will have over 150 different jobs, and the game has been optimized for Vita with button controls in addition to the touchscreen option. It's even compatible with PS Vita TV. Said director Hideaki Itsuno:

"The controls are simple, and I think those of you who will be playing the game for the first time will have a good time. It is free of charge, so please go ahead and download it to try it out for yourself. Dragon’s Dogma Quest is an RPG that places exceptional importance on tactics and strategy. Try mixing up various job classes, and try playing with your very own party. It’s a traditional fantasy title, so if you enjoy the world of Dragon’s Dogma Quest, please try the console version, Dragon’s Dogma. The story is great."

The Vita could use all the help it can get right now.

Dark Arisen is free this month. I really want to love it but it's just missing a soul or something and it's hard to slog on, feels chorish. I hope they learn from the problems and make it a better franchise in the future.

Yeah I'm noticing the same effect. It's just lacking that compelling urge to grind away.

The combat keeps me come back for more but World and Solid are right, the game can feel like a grind at times. Still a great play for any RPG fan.
