Football Manager 2014 Classic Vita Bundle Coming To UK

It probably wouldn't help push many Vita units in this country but in the UK, it could prove very helpful

As announced over at the Euro PlayStation Blog, a new PlayStation Vita bundle is on the way: It's the Football Manager 2014 Classic package, which boasts the newly redesigned Vita 2000, a 4GB memory card, and a digital voucher for the game.

The bundle will be available a week after the title officially launches; the individual game releases on April 11 and this package goes on sale on April 17. We don't have a price for the package just yet, but bear in mind that the Vita 2000 retails separately for 180. If you're unfamiliar, FM2014 Classic is the newest entry in the sports simulator that puts you in the shoes of a head soccer coach. Me, I'd be clueless. But others can really get into it.

Are you one of them?

I'd love a game like this for hockey, I've always felt the GM/Coaching options in NHL are too simplified. And I know it would sell quite well here in Canada.

Franchise Hockey Manager is about as close as we're going to get for a while it seems. It's alright I suppose, but no where near as great as Eastside Hockey Manager was.

Football Manager is an institution in the UK (and some parts of Europe).

I played it on the Spectrum many decades ago and it is a massive addictive time sink.

I am really considering picking it up for my Vita but I am just scared about the number of hours it will consume.
May be the only way I'll ever see Dundee United back at the top of the Scottish league!

Does that mean the new slim Vita could be expected in the next few weeks here in the US? Amazon still show the Borderlands bundle in May

I'm not a soccer/football fan at all, but this is one series I really enjoy. There's a real level of achievement when you can take a virtually unknown low ranked team, and progress it up to the major level. It's not easy mind you, as this franchise is pretty unforgiving, which makes you feel even better when you do succeed.
