Borderlands 2 Vita Bundle Launches In North America On May 6

We knew it was coming, but now we've got a solidified release date.

Sony has announced that the new PlayStation Vita Slim model (Vita 2000), which is already available in Europe and Japan, will finally come to North America on May 6.

It's coming as part of the previously announced Borderlands 2 bundle package, which will include a copy of the award-winning game, an 8GB memory card, and a slew of downloadable content for only $199. The new Vita Slim boasts 1GB of internal memory, a new LCD display, longer battery life, and a revamped design that makes the unit more comfortable to hold. Here's all the extra DLC:

  • Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty
  • Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage
  • Psycho Character Class
  • Mechromancer Character Class
  • Ultimate Vault Hunter's Upgrade Pack
  • Collector's Edition Pack

So, if you don't own a Vita yet, is this enough incentive?

Honestly that is a great bundle for on the fence vita owners. I can't wait to pick up the game since I already own a vita.

I agree. I already own a Vita and am loving MLB The Show on it. This will be a nice game to complement that :)

Hm, now this is worth considering. Memory cards are still overpriced scams, but 8GB I may be able to live on until Sony hopefully decides to drop their price again.

I really love the Vita's remote play feature with PS4. They really improved some connectivity aspects of it over the PS3's.

I'm not gonna buy a new Vita until they make more room between the right side buttons and right control stick, so I can press X and Square with my thumb at the same time without hitting the control stick. It's a Toukiden thing.

I already own a Vita and love every centimeter of the device. I must recommend this bundle to anyone who was on the fence previously about investing in this little gem of a portable. I recently picked up FFX HD Remaster on the Vita and it is stupendous.

Now your whinging about the new Vitas whilst you've allegedly already traded in your old Vita because it wasn't good enough for you.
