PlayStation Vita And App Updates Will Soon Be Available

The PlayStation 4 gets the anticipated 1.70 firmware update this week.

But Sony's portable doesn't want to miss out on the fun!

The PlayStation Vita and PlayStation App will receive updates this week; the Vita gets update 3.15 and it should be available within the next 24 hours. It doesn't have as many fancy features as the PS4's firmware upgrade, but it does boast Automatic Device Registration, which lets two systems pair up automatically provided they're both online and the same user is signed in on both units. This will make it easier to take advantage of the Vita's Remote Play option.

The App update will be out very soon as well, and it enables push notifications, lets users select their PSN profile picture from photos stored on a phone or tablet, and allows friend requests to be sent via email or text message. The PlayStation world continues to expand at a rapid clip...are you part of it?

Speaking of Vita, my laptop up and died today so the whole Demon Gaze review is toast. I'll get it up after I finish writing it again. I hate technology...

I feel your pain on that one, I know the feeling all too well.

Technology is great...when it works.

meh, wake me up when the standby pause and resume feature is FINALLY going to come!
come on $ony this is ridiculous i mean the xbox one has had this since LAUNCH!
also, what the hells going on with the play while you download feature?
that was one of the biggest features of the new systems being able to play games after a certain percentage of them has downloaded, but ive downloaded rayman legends, trials fusion, octodad, outlast, infamous second son, and amazing spiderman 2 last night, and none of them have let me play the games before there completely downloaded!
WTF!?
