It Appears That Vita Will Indeed Support Project Morpheus

It's VR on the go!

Up until now, we had only received hints that Sony's virtual reality initiative Project Morpheus would be supported by the PlayStation Vita.

Now, as reported by VRFocus, it has been confirmed. SCEE Immersive Technology Group Technical Director Ian Bickerstaff spoke during the Develop Conference, and said the Vita is "already being used internally." Basically, the Vita mirrors tablets, and some of the companion apps available for Project Morpheus might be on Vita as well. Even smartphones could make use of the technology.

The question is, do we really want/need virtual reality for the Vita? I mean, does that make the unit more appealing?

Don't convolute the experience Sony. I'm interested in this if only to see how the tech will work but don't want the experience to become marginalized. If it turns out mindblowing then by all means.

Interesting concept, but developers will have the challenge of making the controls simple to prevent gamers needing to look down at their controller/screen.

I would suspect the Second Screen functionality would be a way for second person to interact with the game world while the primary player is using the VR headset.

You're gonna need a legal sized folder to fit that title.

Unfortunately, I've had to expand it to an entire file cabinet.

I understood you. And Im talking about the size of the file itself. So the title can definitely fit on the file cabinet.

Sooo, what can my Vita do if I bring it into the virtual world? Maybe I can virtually play Final Fantasy VII on my virtual sofa?

And in my virtual bachelor pad?

Why yes... my kids are waking at unruly small hours of the morning... why do you ask?
