Sony: Call Of Duty Vita Set For Fall, Will Make A Big Splash
Plenty of established franchises from third-party publishers are heading to the PlayStation Vita. One of them is the industry-leading Call of Duty.
Sony had mentioned before that the mega-blockbuster series would be portable-bound, but they never provided us with an estimated launch window. Well, it's apparently the same as the new CoD that's in development for consoles and likely slated to release towards the end of the year. If we were to guess, we'd say November.
A reader has pointed us in the direction of a Vita launch interview at GameTrailers, in which senior vice-president of PlayStation brand marketing, Guy Longworth, confirmed that Call of Duty for the Vita is in development and is set to launch this fall. He didn't provide any other specifics but that's enough for now, right?
Interestingly enough, Longworth calls this title an "absolute game-changer" for the Vita, although we're not entirely sure why. Presumably, he's just talking about the legion of CoD fans out there who might be intrigued, and therefore run out to buy Sony's handheld. Then again, maybe he means it'll be quite the amazing FPS...in the meantime, shooter fans can look forward to Resistance: Burning Skies and Killzone.

I say a Call of Duty, Mass Effect, Skyrim and Madden 2013 combo...Would be a game changer. It would be hard for Nintendo to fight back after that one.
Sony is taking a step in the right direction with the PS Vita. Mortal Kombat, Marvel vs Capcom 3,Call of duty, Resistance, Uncharted, Rumored Bioshock and killzone.
I would be very surprised (as in astonished) if the 3Ds out sells the PS Vita come Xmas
2012. With that lineup.

One thing that can't be denied about the COD series is that they are always polished consistently play well, so I'm sure it could be executed on the Vita.

i hope not, id have a much bigger impact if it was a different game exclusive to the vita like what ubisoft did with AC2 and bloodlines.
however i could not care less about it!
im much more interested in the AC game coming to it, i just hope its not a port of AC3!
